New CMS system at Sjursøya Container Terminal

Sjursøya Container Terminal has now fully implemented Jade Logistics Master Terminal system at their containerterminal at Sjursøya. Master Terminal will deliver stronger management capability to SCT and the means to maintain efficient use of all the terminal assets, says general manager Fred Kamperman.

Master Terminal replaces the existing (Cosmos) system to provide updated functionality to all the operational aspects SCT's terminal operation, including the movement and management of containers, and electronic links to forwarders and shipping lines.

Computers at the terminal
This is provided through a single streamlined system which also delivers capability to the users in the terminal areas through hand-held and vehicle mounted computers installed in all the cargo handling equipment.

To ensure this benefit extends to all parts of SCT's operation, the system is also manage the empty depot.

Lift service level
Fred Kamperman, the General Manager of SCT stated that all staff have been showing great enthusiasm during the training and implementation of JMT (Jade master Terminal) that started in October. Transition has been flawlessly executed and not a single delay for our customers, says Kamperman.
